This program is for beginners interested in the sport of Wheelchair Rugby. Wheelchair Rugby is a Paralympic sport (invented in Canada) for athletes of any gender with a physical disability. These sessions will teach participants the fundamentals of sport, the skills of the game, and how to safely play using a sport-specific rugby wheelchair. We welcome all ages and ability to come and try a new fun and inclusive sport!

In partnership with Abilities Centre, Lacrossing Barriers brings an inclusive lacrosse experience to our community. This program is designed for participants of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities — whether you're brand new to the sport or already have some experience.

This 6-part series is designed to provide information on an array of topics that impact female athletes, but done so through the lens of having a physical disability as well. Sessions will be held from 5:00pm – 6:30pm EST on the following dates:

- March 11th: Nutrition Needs for Para Athletes; Presenter Holly Pitters
- April 8th: Funding Opportunities for Para Sport – Grant & Sponsorship Tips; Presenters Lisa Myers & Marissa Papaconstantinou
**While this session will be delivered through the lens of coaching, athletes with a disability will also benefit from attending the session

Just in time for the final races of the Paralympics… come out to the DRXC for a taste of the sport of ParaNordic!
Join us on Sunday March 15th from 10:00-11:30am to try out a sit-ski, explore the challenges and possibilities of skiing with a visual impairment with or without a guide, and check out the other equipment and adaptations which can allow everyone to enjoy gliding on snow. This will be an active session on the trails, and all ages are welcome.
This event is hosted by Emily Beedell, volunteer coach with the ParaNordic program at Nakkertok Nordic in Gatineau, with equipment support from Cross Country Ski Ontario (XCSO).”
This event aims to introduce new participants to para-alpine skiing, build awareness among local families, and create a sustainable model for future para-inclusion programming in Ontario.

This one-day, family-friendly event in collaboration with Track3 & Alpine Canada will provide an inclusive opportunity for kids with disabilities to experience para-alpine skiing in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. The day will run from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and include adaptive ski experiences led by trained volunteers and sponsored by Alpine Canada.
Participants will be invited to learn more about para- sport pathways and “Becoming Para Ready” with ACA representatives while engaging in a fun festival atmosphere complete with food and beverage provided by Beaver Valley Ski Club & equipment supplied by Squire John’s.

The Canadian National Blind Hockey Tournament takes place annually at Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Ontario each March, and features Children, Youth, Low Vision & Development, Open, Masters and Select Divisions. The Canadian National Blind Hockey Tournament is the largest event in the world for the Para sport of Blind Hockey and has been the key event for growing and developing the sport over the past decade. It continues to be free to attend, and free to watch live via Canadian Blind Hockey’s Youtube.

Adapted Mountain Biking Camp - Presented by Handcycling Club of Canada. HCC will be hosting a weekend of adaptive mountain bike riding at LP Eco Centre. There will be a learn to ride aMTB camp for beginners as well as rides for intermediate riders, a demo day/ group ride, and advanced group ride at the beautiful Turkey Point MTB Club trails. Equipment and instruction provided. Register early to ensure a spot.
