Discover the game, build confidence, belong. The Abilities Centre Wheelchair Basketball Introductory Program welcomes individuals of all abilities, ages 7 and up, whether new to wheelchair basketball or new to using a sport chair.

Ages 7+ - For athletes of all abilities, this program will see participants developing their basketball skills from the perspective of a wheelchair seat! Whether you’re a seasoned wheelchair basketballer or are curious to explore a unique style of gameplay, Wheelchair Basketball is sure to bring the fun, all while promoting active and healthy lifestyles. All equipment and adaptations are provided to ensure everyone can participate and succeed!

Come out on Thursday evenings at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre and discover the exciting game of Boccia! This inclusive sport is perfect for all ages and abilities and is played indoors from a seated position.

This beginner-friendly program, offered in partnership with Wheelchair Rugby Canada, introduces participants to Wheelchair Rugby, a fast- paced Paralympic sport invented in Canada. Open to all ages, genders, and abilities, this attack-and-evasion sport involves chair-to-chair contact, with the objective of carrying the ball across the opponent's try line to score.
